Try Exo-Port: Skin Port Sample Pack

Protect the port. Find your size.

Every liposuction cannula stroke passes over the incision edge. In power-assisted (PAL) and ultrasound-assisted (UAL) liposuction, that friction can come with heat. The result can be friction burns, hyperpigmentation or a raised scar at the access site, which is the one part of the result your patient sees at every follow-up.

Exo-Port™ liposuction skin ports sit in the incision and keep the cannula off the skin edge.

What the research shows

In a 2024 study of 60 consecutive liposuction patients, port-site complications occurred in 33% of patients treated without port protection and 7% of patients treated with it.1 The study used a tubing-based protector, not Exo-Port. Read the evidence summary.

How it works

  1. Pick the size that matches your cannula's outer diameter. Go 1–2 sizes larger for basket or etching cannulas. See the Sizing Guide.
  2. Place the port in the incision using the obturator and secure it with the suture disc, following the Instructions for Use.
  3. Work through the port. The cannula moves through the port instead of against the skin edge.
